I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve!

I'm sure March 25th (the day before the big crawl) will be a *bit* more like Christmas Eve, but for someone whose spent the past two months banging out a website and our marketing plan, it's pretty exciting that we're launching ticket sales to the public in just a couple of days.

Coming from a background in social media, I tried to design the website around integration - instead of just throwing the widgets on the bottom of the page I wanted them to feel like they live on the page and make it easy for visitors to both access and comment on our content.

The majority of our day-to-day information will live on the Facebook page, so it was important to me that I included a feed that will allow the website to always house this information without having to update the page every day.

I'd love to know what you think!

Trivia kick-off at Casey Morans was....

... awesome! We packed the sidebar Thursday night for our first night of trivia, prizes and slinging $1 bottles.

A BIG Congrats the top winner of 9 teams - Team 2.5!

See you next week, guys, at 8 p.m. Thursday - for $1 bottles, $4 Svedka cocktails, $5 bombs...

...oh yeah. And trivia!

And don't forget, Booth25 posts a special bonus question on our Facebook each week!

Blokes and Birds and our 'business' meeting

We're very excited to let you all know that Unofficial in Chicago 2011 is being planned as we speak... and it all started off with our first 'business' meeting of the year at Blokes and Birds.

B&B is in our Lakeview 'hood, it's a new bar and there's a mustache on the front door... so we were in.

We went on a Wednesday, which meant a 'nip' and a pint for $5. I didn't know what this meant either, but it's basically a half-shot of whiskey and a decent beer served on it's own platter. And cheap!

Side note - one of us did not wanted to be seated in the downstairs section because she was convinced that sitting in a confined room with no windows would guarantee a more festive time than she wanted to enjoy on a work night.

Naturally, we were seated downstairs. She was right.

...Has anyone else checked the English-style pub out? Did you dig it?

Hello world!

First off, welcome! We've been working double-time to put together this new site to help serve as place where we can bring together all of our efforts. And, we're pretty proud of what we've accomplished so far and we love to show it off.

While it will always be a work in progress, our initial content is intended to be relevant to our audience - Chicagoans who are looking for fun, unique events without breaking the bank.

So thanks for stopping by! Please poke around (I recommend starting with learning a bit about us and our upcoming events) and if you have any ideas for the website or our brand in general, I'd love to hear from you.
